Physical Education
The contribution of the course physical education to the acquirement of competences at our private professional school for economy and techniques Prignitz
The PE classes as learning and experience part contributes specifically to the ideas of academic and personality education and is therefore important for the development of personality. It is the general professional aim to achieve action abilities through pedagogical orientated physical education.
PE classes engage against an increasing lack of sportive activities in the society and the respective illnesses.
The physical education is practically aimed to improve coordinative, conditional and physical skills as well as to an expanding individual motion repertoire.
The curriculum at out school dictates the following contents:

Games are the focus of the courses since they especially collaborate with the natural need for motion of the students. Games improve the willingness to cooperate and communicate and have a high free time value. All specific potencies of the games are used to improve the student’s social competences (e.g. fairness, tolerance, team spirit) and at the same time their psychic wellness.
As game “no. 1” at our school volleyball is taught. All elements of this game (upper and under pass, serving, attack, technique, tactics) were practiced during several lessons and tested.
The following disciplines were tested in athletics: 100m dash, shot-put, long jump, high jump and 3000m dash. In swimming 17 students could fulfil the norms of a swimming certification.
Finishing the first training year, we could grant seven times mark 1, six times mark 2 and five times mark 3.
