Team Sport Concept
The following conceptual structure can be understood as integrative part of the whole academic concept of the professional school Pritzwalk.
Due to an increasing competition of sports towards computer and internet, a lack of interest of parents in the activities of their children, but also the small amount of school sports classes a decreasing physical basic education of young people can be noticed.
But – our motto is: “A healthy school needs healthy people.”
Scientists proved a direct relation between the capacity of children and youths and their physical health. Accordingly the psychical and psychic state of our body contributes to our health likewise. Only healthy children and youths are able to work under pressure, have a high capacity and can by motivated.
The private professional school Pritzwalk would like to be a partner school of the broad and youth sports. Within the personality development the sportive development of its students is supported.
The specialization of this form of professional school is to offer the trainees and students a better sportive education.
The academic class Sports is generally taught according to the curriculum. The sportive motivation is developed effectively by sport methodical and specific support in sports. To support the physical development the school regulates et al. the following measures:
- Offer and coordination of topics concerning sport in combination with other classes and multidisciplinary classes
- Release from classes for courses of instruction or competitions (request of clubs or allowance of parents)
- Mutual information and agreements between participating partners concerning achievement and state of knowledge of the students
- The students – especially active sportsmen/ -women – are supported extracurricular (e.g. homework support, preparation and analysis of special professional classes, examinations) and pedagogically to meet with the academic requirements. The development of professional competences has highest priority.
- Additionally to the weekly timetable a broad and diverse physical education of several hours is established
The concentration of our young students on a sports activity has to fulfil the following points:
1. Social focus
- expanding on communication in interactive team processes
- providing of reasonable free time activities for the students
- improvement of planning and structuring skills in solutions of problems as contribution to an improved action ability in every day live
- team ability in sports classes and as general group orientated teamwork
2. Sports focus
- Action orientation with sports as contribution to an improvement of professional action competences and interaction ability
- Offer of physical activities will interest effectively as much students as possible in sports
- Qualitative education enables students to success in their local sport clubs
- Physical education in context of the professions
- Continuity in the education of sports
3. Health prophylaxis
The students receive motivation for a sportive organisation of their free time contributing to an awareness of health and a livelong engagement in sports.

- Encouragement of health and release of health fund
- Prevention against overweight and physical weakness
